Welcome To Napa Valley

Napa Valley is undeniably one of the world’s most renowned destinations for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Because of its fertile soil and perfect climate, this valley is known for and celebrated globally for Cabernet Sauvignon, a bold & full-bodied red wine. But, Napa also has an amazing culinary scene featuring gourmet Michelin-starred restaurants and farm-to-table eateries. After all, you can’t have good wine without good food!

Once you arrive in the valley, the rolling hills, lush vineyards, and picturesque wineries will inevitably catch your eye, creating the perfect photo backdrop. If it is your first time visiting, you must pull over and take a picture next to the famous “Welcome to Napa Valley” sign, it is a right of passage! For accommodations, you can settle into a luxurious resort perfect for a quiet retreat; or opt for a hotel downtown, conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and tasting rooms. If you are unable to make it to a winery on the day of arrival (most wineries close at 5:00 p.m.), don’t hesitate to reserve a spot at a bar. Napa makes a fabulous cocktail!

Whether you like traditional tastings or new experiences, Napa keeps it interesting. You can tour the grounds of beautiful wineries (some are even built like castles), wine taste on a train, reserve food and wine pairings, ditch the tasting room and sip straight from the barrel, or become a sommelier for a day and blend your own wine. However, whatever your preferred tasting style is, we recommend reserving your tastings/experiences in advance, especially during peak seasons. We also highly suggest hiring a driver for the day so you can enjoy sipping without the threat of a DUI.

Don’t Like Wine, No Worries We Got You Covered

If you are traveling to wine country with companions who do not like wine (insert eye roll), we recommend making reservations for spa treatments, art galleries, outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, or horseback riding, or a tasting at the Napa Valley Distillery (yes, you read right) to keep everyone entertained.  Additionally, there’s no shortage of phenomenal restaurants in Napa to explore, with personal favorites including Brasswood, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, and an absolute must-try brunch at Auberge du Soleil. It’s worth noting that many of these dining establishments boast extensive wine lists to complement your meal, so while your companions dine, there’s no harm in quietly savoring that glass of wine, is there?
