Welcome to London
London is one of the world’s most captivating cities. It has a rich British heritage and is home to Big Ben, the world-renowned clock tower that is often an identifying mark of the city. When staying in London, especially for the first time, we love to be centrally located and prefer to stay in the West End, specifically Covent Garden. This area is just steps away from iconic landmarks, bars, shopping, and dining. Not to mention, entertainment is right at your fingertips with a wide range of theatres.

It is easy to tour London on foot, via the tube, or in one of those fun, red, double-decker buses. The city is also set alongside the River Thames which is accessible for you to tour on a 30-minute boat ride. If you want to see London from a unique angle, you can head to The Shard, Western Europe’s tallest skyscraper, for a panoramic view like no other!

For our history lovers, The Tower of London is a must-see. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of our favorite London attractions. As a fortress, royal palace, and holder of the glittering Crown Jewels, you can easily spend half your day there. Another popular stop is Buckingham Palace, home to the British monarchy. If your schedule allows, we recommend visiting the palace at a time when you are able to witness the changing of the guards.
Let’s Spill The Tea
Whether it is London or another amazing city, we always like to experience what the country/city is known for, no matter how cliche. With that said, Britain has a history of drinking good tea and London does not disappoint! If you are a tea lover, you’ll absolutely want to experience an afternoon tea tradition. This includes a reserved sitting of dainty sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, exquisite pastries, and of course, fine tea. As a culinary heritage, this can be enjoyed in a classic venue or in a modern venue with a twist. We advise you to choose wisely however, not all experiences are equal!
All in all, London is a great city to visit and you won’t run out of things to do. If you are staying for an extended period of time, you might be interested in visiting other worthy sites such as the British Museum or a day trip to Stonehenge. We also recommend
London as the start of a European adventure. You can easily travel to another city of interest quickly once you are there. For example, many like to take a train to Paris, which is only a little over 2 hours.
